2020 év végén az IeSF Közgyülése, a tisztelt bizottsági tagok és az IeSF tag szövetségei arra voksoltak, hogy Magyarország felvételt nyerjen a Nemzetközi E-sport Szövetségbe. Hazánkat a szervezeten belül a Magyar E-sport Szövetség (HUNESZ) képviseli. A szakmai zsűri díjban részesíti az IeSF szervezetét, mert felismerték a magyar e-sport szektorban rejlő potenciált. Ezzel itthon új lehetőségek nyílnak meg a magyar játékosok és csapatok előtt, hogy nemzetközi színtéren is bizonyíthassanak.

In the end of 2020, on the IeSF General Assembly, respected members of the board and the federations of IeSF voted in favor of Hungary, represented by the Hungarian Esports Federation, to become full member of the International Esports Federation. Jury awards IeSF for putting in the effort to recognize the potential of the Hungarian esports scene. With this, new opportunities arose for Hungarian players and teams to show themselves on a global scale.
